Raising money for Summit for SickKids…

Since we’ve commited to sign up and train for these 5 races this year, our group at work has decided to raise money to support Summit for SickKids, an amazing charity started by one of our teammates, Adam McClair.

Summit for SickKids was founded to bring awareness to childhood cancer, while also raising invaluable funds for SickKids’ Oncology Department and their ground-breaking Cancer Genetics Research Program.

In 2010, the Summit for SickKids team climbed Mount Rainier, raising $15,000. In 2011, the team traveled further and climbed higher as they summited the 19,347 ft. Mount Cotopaxi In Ecuador, raising over $42,000 in the process.

To date, they have raised almost $60,000 for SickKids and have committed to raising $250,000 for the cause. This January 2013,  they will attempt to tackle one of the 7 summits of the world – Argentina’s Mount Aconcagua. To find out more about their training and fundraising events go to summitforsickkids.com.  The donations will support Summit for SickKids and their goal to raise this year’s goal of $50,000.

My goal is to raise $1,000 for them…please help me crush it.  The link where you can sponsor me is:

Secure on line donations can be made to Run for the Summit at SickKids with VISA, MasterCard or American Express and an electronic tax receipt will be sent to you by email.

Thank you for joining me and helping support Summit for SickKids!

    • Sure, you can send an email money transfer to my email address with your full name, mailing address, phone number. I’ll submit it on your behalf so you receive the tax receipt.

Thank you so much for your support!
